In applying for a mortgage, bank personnel never answered the phones and rarely called back. Was kept in the dark about everything. Other managers would interrupt us in the middle of the application process. Processors routinely leave the office at 2 in the afternoon. No confirmation on anything from anyone. Manager wouldn�t even shake my hand after the application! Would never recommend this bank for anything. Terrible service. In the middle of the real estate meltdown you�d think these people would be begging for my mortgage.

I think there's many virtues to be found in local establishments, specially when it to comes to banks. I've always disliked the despersonalization that comes with any one of those big banks. These folks give a personalized service that comes as a breath of fresh air. Most impressively, they offer highly competitive rates in terms of cds & they genuinely value you as a customer.
